Who We Are
Blanche Beauty is a beauty salon at 61 Cleveland Street, London W1T 4JR. We decide how and why your personal information is used, which makes us the data controller for it under UK data protection law.
We trade as Blanche Beauty Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13794587, with its registered office at 61 Cleveland Street, London W1T 4JR.
You can reach us at hello@blanchebeauty.co.uk or on 07831 753970.
This Website Does Not Collect Anything
There are no forms on this site, no accounts, no cookies, no advertising trackers and no embedded maps or videos loaded from other companies. Reading these pages does not create a record of you anywhere and there is nothing here for you to consent to.
Our web host keeps short-lived technical logs, which every web server does, in order to serve pages and defend against attacks. We do not use those logs to identify anyone.
When You Book
Booking happens on Phorest, the salon software we use. When you click a booking link you leave this website and go to Phorest, and the details you enter there are held in our Phorest account.
What that record holds is your name, contact details, the appointments you have booked, what was done, any notes our team makes so we can repeat it correctly next time, and anything you tell us about allergies or skin sensitivities.
- Why we hold it. To provide the treatment you booked, to contact you about your appointment, and to keep your record accurate for the next visit.
- The lawful basis. Performing our contract with you for appointments and payments, our legitimate interest in running the salon and keeping proper records, and your consent for marketing.
- Health information. Anything you tell us about allergies, skin conditions or medication is handled only so a treatment is safe to carry out.
- Card details. Phorest can keep your card on file for future bookings, but only if you choose to allow it. We do not see the full card number, and you can ask us to remove a stored card at any time.
When You Message Us
If you call, email, message us on WhatsApp or send an Instagram or TikTok message, we keep what you send so we can answer you and so we have a record of what was agreed. WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok are run by their own companies under their own privacy policies, and we have no control over what they collect.
Who Else Sees It
Your information is not sold and it is not shared for anyone else’s marketing. It is handled by the companies that run the services we use, which are Phorest for bookings and client records, Clover for card payments taken in the salon, and our web host for this site. We also share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC or in response to a lawful request.
Marketing
We only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. Every message includes a way to stop, and you can also tell us in the salon, by phone or by email at any time. Stopping marketing does not affect messages about an appointment you have actually booked.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your client record for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that treatment history is available if you return. Records connected to payments are kept for six years, which is the period tax law requires. After that, information is deleted.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send it to you or another provider in a portable form
- stop marketing, at any time
Ask us at hello@blanchebeauty.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Photographs Of Our Work
We photograph work we are proud of and post it on Instagram and TikTok. We ask before taking a photograph that shows your face, and you are free to say no. If a photograph of you is already posted and you would like it taken down, tell us and we will remove it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
