What is the difference between an express manicure and a manicure?
The cuticle. An express manicure does not include cleaning it, only gently pushing it back, which is why it is quicker and costs less. A full manicure cleans the cuticle properly in the Russian technique, and that is what lets colour sit flush against the skin and hold.
What is the difference between gel and hard gel?
Gel is colour, cured under a lamp, and it lasts two to three weeks. Hard gel, or BIAB, is a builder laid over your own nail to strengthen it, so the nail can grow without splitting. If your nails break before they reach any length, hard gel is the one that changes that.
Do you take off gel applied somewhere else?
Yes. Gel polish removal is from £10 on its own, or £25 with a reshape. Removing existing gel as part of a new set adds £5.
How often do extensions need infilling?
Every three to four weeks. An infill from £78 keeps the set going, which is less than a new full set each time and better for your own nails underneath.
Why is the price shown as from?
Our technicians work at three levels, standard, senior and top, and the price follows the one you book with. Nail length and the condition your nails are in change the time it takes as well. Whichever you choose, the price is confirmed with you before we start, never after.
